Next in our Meet the Team series…
Steve Ramsay is our Technical Director. He started his career with a fascinating degree in Marine Biology before making the tricky transition to smart ticketing via the telecomms industry.
He joined TfL in 2008 and spent six years there, firstly on Oyster systems before leading the team defining requirements for the FTP programme introducing the use of contactless bank cards across the TfL estate.
Since then he has become an Account-Based Ticketing aficionado with spells at ATOC, TfN, TfGM, Arriva and Cubic.
Whilst ABT systems are his passion, his true loves are robots, computer games and his dog Moss. If you find yourself on a Teams call with Steve, you may catch a glimpse of his man cave, complete with arcade games, or maybe Moss impatiently waiting for a run around the park!
