Case Study

Transport for the North Connected Mobility.

The Project

The Client

A statutory sub-national transport body responsible for strategic transport improvements across the North of England.

Project Description

TfN sought specific advice in relation to their Connected Mobility Hub.

Innovatious provided support to Local Authorities in their journey towards modernising public transport ticketing. This included developing a generic roadmap for implementing account-based ticketing using contactless payment cards (cEMV), along with tailored roadmaps for two specific Authorities based on their unique needs and existing infrastructure.

Furthermore, we delivered a detailed “Lessons Learned” report to guide the implementation of Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) schemes, offering valuable insights and best practices.

Additionally, we conducted an options appraisal for an Authority seeking to introduce new cross-boundary and cost-effective ticketing products for young people. This approach ensured that each Authority received customized guidance and support in their pursuit of enhanced ticketing solutions, ultimately benefiting both passengers and operators.
